Recognition of Engineering and Computer Science Programmes for Intakes in 2010 and Before

Intakes in 2010 and before of the following engineering and computer science programmes of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of the University of Macau (UM) will satisfy the academic requirements for Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and the Scheme “A” Training in the corresponding Disciplines subject to the following conditions:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Full Time) (For Civil Discipline of the HKIE)
  No top up requirements are necessary.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Full Time) (For Electrical Discipline of the HKIE)
  Top up courses are required which normally include at least two courses on: (i) Society and the Engineers and (ii) Management or Health, Safety and Environment or Accounting. (For detailed arrangement, please contact Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.)
• Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering (Full Time) (For Mechanical Discipline of the HKIE)
  Top up courses are required which include the following courses: (i) MECH408 / EMEB376 Theory of Mechanisms and (ii) MECH486 / EMEB359 Finite Element Techniques in Engineering. (For detailed arrangement, please contact Department of Electromechanical Engineering.)
• Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (Full Time) (For Information Discipline of the HKIE)
  No top up requirements are necessary.
