UM students win first prize at ‘Challenge Cup’ national competition for technological projects
澳大學生獲 “挑戰杯” 全國科創競賽一等獎

Students from the University of Macau (UM) recently won six prizes in the ‘Challenge Cup’ national inter-varsity competition for extracurricular academic technological projects. The prizes include one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes, and the first prize was awarded to a team formed by UM students from the Faculty of Science and Technology for their project of intelligent inspection and maintenance robots for corridor tunnels based on low-light enhancement algorithms. UM is once again the only university from Macao to have won a first prize in this competition.

澳門大學學生於第17屆“挑戰杯”全國大學生課外學術科技作品競賽中勇奪佳績,參賽的6項作品全部獲獎,分別榮獲一項一等獎,兩項二等獎及三項三等獎。今屆大賽港澳高校共獲獎27項,澳大獲獎數量位居港澳高校首位,並再次成為澳門地區唯一獲一等獎的高校。

“挑戰杯”全國大學生課外學術科技作品競賽被譽為當代大學生科技創新的“奧林匹克”盛會,是中國關注度最高、規模最大、影響力最高的大學生科技創新賽事。澳大近年來持續加強學生的科技創新教育,為澳門未來發展儲備具有國際視野的創新型科技人才,注重“四位一體”的培養模式,鼓勵課堂學習之外,參與多學科的科研項目研究,重視科技創新及產學研工作,營造創新及充滿活力的校園環境。是次佳績反映澳大學生在工程學、資訊科技、中醫藥、創業等專業領域的才華、解難能力及非凡創造力。

因應疫情,今屆“挑戰杯”大賽組委會採用線上答辯的形式辦賽。經過激烈的遴選過程,由澳大智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室及科技學院教授楊志新指導,學生梁威翔、梁仕篔和丁子欽的作品“基於低光照增强算法的管廊隧道智能巡檢運維機械人”獲得港澳地區僅有兩個的其中一個一等獎;由中華醫藥研究院教授陳美婉指導,學生花鵬的作品“基於天然產物的全活性智能微針貼片用於美白抗衰”和科技學院教授譚錦榮指導,學生江朝宇的作品“基於RFID無源標簽天綫陣列的肩部康復無綫運動捕捉系統”均獲二等獎;三等獎的作品分別是中華醫藥研究院教授王一濤及王勝鵬指導,學生石瑞鵬、陳汶悅、吳思源、趙懿及楊林的作品“中藥創新劑型‘固液膠囊’關鍵技術及其轉化”;鄭裕彤書院院長黃承發和導師鄧宇明指導,學生譚佩詩、唐敏、付昊明和王正浩的作品“經菌噬糖技術處理的環保麥芽砂”,以及黃承發、鄧宇明和健康科學學院教授譚建業指導,學生劉泳兒、鄧澤賢及劉昭朗的作品“飲趣―Interest”。

“挑戰杯”由共青團中央、中國科協、教育部、全國學聯和地方政府共同主辦,每兩年舉辦一次,向全國展示各高校的育人成果,有效促進高校科技成果轉化,也是企業界接觸和物色優秀科技英才、引進科技成果的重要途徑,並在促進青年創新人才成長、深化高校素質教育、推動經濟社會發展等方面一直發揮積極作用,在廣大高校乃至社會上具廣泛而良好的影響。

Prof Xu Qingsong in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Macau (UM) was elected as a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). It is a recognition of his outstanding contributions in the research of micro-nano mechatronics, automated robots and intelligent robotic control over the past years. He is the first Macau scholar to receive this respective title.

The ASME is one of the most authoritative and influential academic organisations in the world. It focuses on mechanical engineering and related technology, and has more than 64,000 members in 160 countries. The ASME fellowship is the highest honour bestowed on ASME members and recognises scholars who have made significant achievements and outstanding contributions to the field of mechanical engineering. The selection process is extremely rigorous, with no more than one in a thousand members selected for their outstanding performance and years of relevant work experience by the society’s experts. The number of ASME fellows currently stands at just over 3,300 worldwide.

Prof Xu has more than ten years of experience in teaching and research. He has served on the editorial boards of several top international journals and has won the Macao Science and Technology Award and the best paper award at international conferences for many times. He developed the first intelligent disinfection robot in Macao, which has been put into use in local hospitals and government buildings during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been approached by companies for the purpose of commercialising his patented research results, which are expected to promote the development of service-robot-related industries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the diversification of Macao’s economy.

澳門大學科技學院機電工程系教授徐青松近期獲選成為‘美國機械工程師協會會士’ (ASME Fellow),表彰他過去多年在微納機電、自動化機器人及智能控制等研究上傑出的貢獻,是首位獲此殊榮的澳門學者。

美國機械工程師協會是全球最具權威和影響力的學術組織之一,主要發展機械工程及其相關領域的科學技術,目前在全球各地160個國家擁有超過六萬四千多名會員。ASME會士是 ASME授予成員的最高榮譽,旨在嘉許在全球機械工程領域獲重要成就及突出貢獻的學者。評選過程極為嚴謹,候選人須具備傑出表現及多年相關工作經驗,並經學會專家嚴格評選,當選人數不會超過會員總人數的千分之一。全球目前ASME 會士人數僅為3,300多人。

經過10餘年研發積纍,徐教授先後擔任多份著名國際期刊的編委,並多次獲得澳門科學技術獎勵及國際會議最佳論文獎。他自主研發的澳門首台智能消毒機器人在疫情期間投入到本地醫院及政府大樓使用,造福社群,成果專利獲得多家企業轉讓需求,對于推動粵港澳大灣區服務機器人相關産業發展以及澳門經濟適度多元化發展有著積極貢獻。
