FST successfully holds “ECE Night 2025”

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology the University of Macau successfully hosted its annual event — “ECE Night 2025.” The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their creativity and potential while enhancing teamwork within the department and fostering a sense of belonging among students. The atmosphere at the event was vibrant, attracting dozens of students from all grades, professors, and numerous alumni, who gathered together for a night filled with laughter and surprises.

This year’s event introduced a new segment called the “ECE Master Challenge,” where participants had to complete circuit assembly tasks and perform team missions within a set time. This competition not only tested the students’ professional knowledge but also showcased their teamwork spirit. The enthusiastic cheers from the audience for their respective teams pushed the atmosphere to its peak. The talent show became another highlight of the event, with participants displaying their talents in various forms—from dynamic singing performances to heartfelt acts and even humorous crosstalk routines. These performances fully demonstrated the diverse potentials and excellent talents of the ECE students. Their impressive performances earned thunderous applause from the audience, adding much luster to “ECE Night 2025.”

The event received significant support from organizations such as IEEE Macau UM Student Section, HK IET YMS Macau Student Branch, and the Alumni Association of the ECE Department at the University of Macau. These institutions not only provided valuable resources for the event but also shared workplace experiences and life stories, offering invaluable guidance and inspiration to current students, aiding their future career development. From planning to execution, the entire event was organized by current students and faculty members within the department. This fully demonstrated the students’ outstanding organizational skills and creativity, showcasing the close collaboration between faculty and students. “ECE Night” was not just a social gathering but also an important stage for students to display their talents and teamwork spirit, highlighting the cohesion and innovative spirit of the ECE Department.
