Held on September 11, 2024 in Nansha, Guangzhou, the team “Elephants can fly” participated in the finals of the 2024 “羊城杯” GBA Cyber Security Competition. With 90 teams from all over China competing, “Elephants can fly” finished the grueling 7 hour non-stop competition. In the category of Hong Kong SAR-Macau SAR, the team was presented the 優勝 award. The members of “Elephants can fly” include three CIS students (SUN SHENGHE, LEONG CHI LONG, and LI MAN TAT) and one from MATH (LIN KAIYE). The team’s academic advisor was Prof. Bob Zhang. The 2024 “羊城杯” GBA Cyber Security Competition was held during the 2024 China Cybersecurity Week, an important national event on cybersecurity in the country.
