To promote moderate diversification of Macau’s development and advance the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area’s technology and innovation corridor, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of the University of Macau (UM) has successfully launched several cutting-edge master’s degree programmesmes, including Internet of Things, Financial Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, and Coastal Environment and Safety. This year, two new innovative Master of Science programmesmes have been introduced: Smart Ocean Technology and Construction Project Management. These two programmesmes are precisely positioned to cultivate more high-level industry elites in Macau and contribute to the development of Macau. Along with the master programmesmes offered in previous years, the FST has launched a total of thirteen master’s programmesmes this year, attracting over 1,500 enthusiastic students and professionals who aspire to pursue further studies in their respective fields.
The newly launched master programmesmes have continued the popularity of previous programmesmes and have attracted many students with relevant backgrounds. The Master of Science in Construction Project Management focuses on equipping students with core principles of project management and the ability to apply them flexibly throughout the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring excellence in terms of time, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability. The Master of Science in Smart Ocean Technology aims to empower students to become high-end talents in marine monitoring, scientific research, and high-tech industries.
In addition, popular subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science have attracted over 600 students due to their coverage of key technologies such as programmesming, data science, information processing, and deep learning. The Financial Technology programmes explores hot topics such as blockchain and digital currencies, while the Internet of Things programmes focuses on communication and embedded technologies. The Robotics and Autonomous Systems programmes, as well as the Coastal Environment and Safety programmes, have also successfully attracted hundreds of students in their respective fields. The latter programmes stands out with its unique environmental protection concepts and disaster management techniques.
Looking ahead, FST will continue to target the cultivation of more high-end industry talents in Macau, in response to the diverse needs of social development, to accelerate the development of emerging industries, and to achieve optimal transformation of Macau’s economic structure. 為促進澳門適度多元化發展並推進粵港澳大灣區科技創新走廊的發展,澳門大學科技學院在成功開設多個前沿碩士學位包括物聯網、金融科技、人工智能、機器人自主系統以及海岸帶環境等後,今年再度推出兩個全新創新型理學碩士學位課程:智慧海洋技術與建造項目管理。這兩個學位課程精準定位,旨在為澳門培育更多高階產業精英,助力地區發展。連同過往提供的碩士課程,今年科技學院推出的十三個碩士課程共吸引了逾一千五百多名有志於在各自專業領域深造的學子與社會人士踴躍報名。
新推出的兩個碩士課程,延續了過往課程的熱度,吸引不少具相關背景的學生就讀。其中,「理學碩士學位(建造項目管理)」著眼於培養學員掌握項目管理核心原理,並能靈活應用于建造項目的全生命周期,以確保項目在時間、成本、品質、安全及可持續性上達至卓越成就;而「理學碩士學位(智慧海洋技術)」則致力于賦能學生,使其成為海洋監測、科研及高新技術產業的高端人才。
此外,人工智能及計算機科學碩士等熱門學科,因其涵蓋編程、數據科學、信息處理、深度學習等關鍵技術,共計引來超過600多名學生的積極報讀。金融科技課程探討區塊鏈、數字貨幣等熱門話題,與物聯網課程聚焦通訊及嵌入式技術,以及機器人與自主系統碩士課程,各自成功吸引了上百名學子青睞。至於海岸帶環境與安全碩士課程,則以其獨特的環境保護理念及災害管理技術,同樣吸引不少相關領域學生報名。
