To support the diversified development of Macau and promote the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao sci-tech innovation corridor, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of the University of Macau (UM) has launched three new master’s degree programmes this academic year, following the earlier introduction of programmes in Internet of Things and Fintech. These cutting-edge programmes cover artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous systems, and coastal environment, and have been well-received by society, attracting nearly one thousand students from diverse professional backgrounds who eager to pursue further studies.
Alongside the popular Artificial Intelligence programme, which covers technology, programming, data science, and information processing and has attracted more than 370 students, there are two other new master’s degree programmes. The Fintech program covers blockchain, digital currencies, and electronic payments, while the IoT program includes communication and embedded technology, with each attracting more than 220 students. The programme in Robotics and Autonomous Systems develops students’ skills in robotics technology and autonomous system engineering, attracting nearly one hundred students. Meanwhile, the Master’s programme in Coastal Environment and Safety focuses on the principles and techniques of coastal environmental protection, as well as the simulation and evaluation of coastal disasters, attracting many students with relevant backgrounds.
In the future, the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Macau will continue to cultivate high-end industry talents for Macau society, accelerate the development of emerging industries, and it hopes to optimize and transform Macau’s economic structure. 為了澳門適度多元發展提供必要人才支撐及推動廣深港澳科技創新走廊建設，澳門大學科技學院繼早年推出物聯網及金融科技後， 於本學年再推出三個碩士學位課程，涵蓋人工智能、機器人自主系統及海岸環境等前沿專業，課程推出隨即受到社會各界熱烈歡迎，吸引近千名不同專業領域有志深造的學生報讀。
除了金融科技及物聯網碩士外，三個新碩士學位課程分別為理學碩士學位（人工智能）、理學碩士學位 （機器人與自主系統）及理學碩士學位 （海岸帶環境與安全）。人工智能熱門碩士課程涉及技術、編程、數據科學和信息處理等技能，共吸引超過370名學生報讀。金融科技課程涵蓋區塊鏈、數字貨幣與電子支付等和物聯網的課程包含通訊技術及嵌入式技術，各吸引超過220名學生報讀。機器人與自主系統培訓學生機器人技術和自主系統工程的技能也有近百名學生報讀。海岸帶環境與安全碩士則著重海岸帶環境保護的原理和技術，以及模擬和評估海岸帶災害的技術，吸引不少具相關背景的學生就讀。
