Prof. Quee Seng QUEK from Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore, gave a talk entitled “AI: A Networking and Communication Perspective” at the Faculty of Science and Technology on the 14th August 2019. At the seminar, Prof. Quek shared his latest research results about the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the networking and Communication Systems. He first introduced the basic knowledge and different models in AI, followed by the discussion about the features, requirements, and challenging issues in networking and communication area such as massively scalability, ultra-high capacity, ultra-low latency, and dynamic network structures. Then, Prof. Quek shared some interesting applications and preliminary works about how to utilize AI to address different problems in wireless communication networks for achieving different service requirements.
