Prof. Qingchun CHEN from Guangzhou University gave a talk entitled “Reliable Coded Caching Design over Wireless Networks” at the Faculty of Science and Technology on the 8th August 2019. At the seminar, Prof. Chen shared his latest research results in the field of the coded caching design. Coded caching is an efficient way to alleviate the network congestion by reducing the volume of data transmission. Prof. Chen introduced the motivation and existing methods of coded caching design. Then he presented the proposed method to address different impairments over the wireless networks, where the coded caching design was modeled as an error control coding problem. Prof. Chen analyzed the performance of the proposed method and demonstrated the corresponding performance improvement comparing with some existing counterparts.
