Prof. Dejing DOU, Head of Big Data Laboratory, Baidu Research, gave a talk entitled “Ontology-based Deep Learning in EHR, Healthcare, and others” on 25 October 2019, which was co-organized by State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (University of Macau), Institute of Collaborative Innovation and Faculty of Science and Technology. At the seminar, Prof. DOU defined the concept of ontology, explained its relationship with research disciplines in Artificial Intelligence, and showed how to apply it to deep learning. While described the design of deep learning models, Prof. DOU demonstrated how it received more advantages from the ontological structures by sharing his latest research results of ontology-based deep learning in EHR, healthcare and other domains.
