Miguel Gomes da Costa Junior (MSC, MBA)
Miguel Gomes da Costa Junior obtained the BSc in Software Engineering (1988), the Postgraduate Specialization in System Analysis (1990) and the Licenciatura in Computer Science (1992) degrees from the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (Brazil), the MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management (2001) from the joint program between the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE), (Portugal) and the University of Macau (Macau), and the MSc in Software Engineering (2016) from the University of Macau. Since 2020, he has been enrolled in the PhD program in Education Sciences at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
He accumulated more than ten years of experience as a professional in information technology, before starting his academic career in 1995 at DCIS, where he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervised several undergraduate projects, and performed different services in different roles, and continues to this day.
He is currently a Senior Instructor at the Department of Computer and Information Science (DCIS) of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of the University of Macau (UM). He is also a Fellow at UM’s Stanley Ho East Asia College (SEAC) and an Academic Staff Advisor for Technology at the Center for Teaching and Learning Enhancement (CTLE).
