 CERT cooperates with the Faculty of Science and Technology and utilizes their facilities to serve the construction industry. In the Structures and Construction Materials Laboratory, there are two universal testing machines and two compression machines. All these machines can provide a wide range of testing services in different capacities. They are not only able to perform material tests (ie: concrete cube compression test, steel rebar tensile test, and structural steel coupon test, etc.), but as well as full scale structural element tests. In the Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory, there are triaxial test apparatus, consolidation test apparatus, direct shear test apparatus and automatic soil compactor, etc. These machines can provide a wide range of testing services in foundation engineering, transportation engineering and geotechnical reclamation engineering.
At the same time as the rapid growth of the construction industry in Macau, CERT will continuously improve its resources in different directions to provide as much as possible quality services to the government and the construction market, in order to participate in the development of Macau. |
